The following chart academic courses that will be offered during Fall Semester 2017.  (Courses highlighted in blue are 1-credit courses; in yellow, 2- and 3-credit courses; and those in pink are Intensive courses.)  For more details about each course, please see the course catalog.

Important Dates

The following important academic calendar dates apply to Summit University Online for-credit courses and programs and audit students.  It does not apply to Summit University online extension courses.

Spring Semester 2017
Now – November 13 Accepting online applications for Spring Semester 2017
November 15 Registration for Spring Semester 2017 Session 1 and 3-credit classes begins
December 26 Last day to register and pay for Session 1 and 3-credit classes
December 27 – January 2 Late registration for Session 1 and 3-credit classes (late fees apply; contact the Registrar for assistance)
January 10 First day of classes; Session 1 begins
January 10-16 Drop period for Session 1 and 3-credit classes (contact the Registrar for assistance)
January 24 Registration opens for Session 2 classes
February 20 SU Offices Closed (President's Day holiday)*
February 27 Last day to register and pay for Session 2 classes without late fees
February 28 – March 6 Late registration for Session 2 classes (late fees apply; contact the Registrar for assistance)
March 6 Last day of Session 1 classes
March 7-13 Spring Break Week
March 7-10 MINS 2650 Intensive (MTC-B students only)
March 14 Session 2 begins
March 14-20 Drop period for Session 2 classes (contact the Registrar for assistance)
May 8 Last day of classes
May 29 SU Offices Closed (Memorial Day holiday)*

July 21 Last day for students to be notified of acceptance
August 3 Last day to register and pay for Session 1, 2-credit and 3-credit classes
August 4-10 Late registration for Session 1, 2-credit and 3-credit classes (late fees apply)
August 15 First day of classes; Session 1 begins
August 15-21 Drop period for Session 1, 2-credit and 3-credit classes (contact the Registrar for assistance)
August 22 Deferral period for Session 1, 2-credit and 3-credit classes begins (contact the Registrar for assistance)

September 4 SU Offices Closed (Labor Day)*
September 11 Last day to defer Session 1, 2-credit and 3-credit classes
October 2 Last day to register and pay for Session 2 classes without late fees
October 3-9 Late registration for Session 2 classes (late fees apply)
October 10-13 MINS 1650 Intensive (MSC-B students only)
October 10-16 Fall Break Week
October 17 Session 2 begins

November 23-24 SU Offices Closed (Thanksgiving holiday)

*Even though SU Offices will be closed during these holidays, students will still be able to access their online courses.  SU Tech Support is also available evenings, weekends and holidays during each semester (winter and summer breaks not included).  Students will be notified in advance of changes to this schedule.
