Everywhere we turn in these troubled times, there is deep concern about such important topics as the legalization of marijuana, transgenderism in schools, racism, terrorism and radical Islam. We witness an increasing sense of separation and division over these kinds of issues; they are so polarizing that people often feel at a loss as to what to say or even how to share their own thoughts and feelings coherently.
What is missing from the mainstream conversation is a higher spiritual perspective that shines light on the true nature of these issues and helps people transcend the growing polarization. A Spiritual Perspective on Issues of Our Time is designed to give students this much-needed higher understanding. This course offers profound spiritual insights from the ascended masters’ teachings on such controversial subjects as abortion and the sanctity of life, sexual orientation, drugs, race relations, genetic engineering, cloning, in vitro fertilization, stem cell research, euthanasia and life extension, and Islamic terrorism.
The course will equip students with a new perspective on the underlying questions and give them the wherewithal to converse in a positive, unifying manner about any of these difficult issues, whether one on one or in a family or community setting. Armed with these higher perspectives, students can contribute illuminating insights and a comforting point of view and bring people together for positive spiritual action.
