SOCW 2605 End-of-Life Care in The Summit Lighthouse

Credits: 1

Number of Weeks: 8

Typically offered in: Fall

For many who are facing the transition called death, whether it be as an elderly person facing the final stages of life, a loved one coming to terms with illness and disease, or as an unexpected accident, end-of-life care can be an overwhelming experience. The teachings of the ascended masters provide a unique and inspiring view of this cycle of life that will help you understand what is really taking place within the body, soul and spirit of one who is transitioning—or has transitioned—to another realm.

This course includes teachings and practical application for each level of being: spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. Students will learn both about the standard levels of care for end-of-life as well as the cases in which ascended master views differ from mainstream concepts including pain management, resolution and regrets, fears of dying, the power of denial versus the grace of acceptance, communication techniques, and caring for the body. Students will create a resource packet that will help them serve others as well as gain practical skills for this important phase of life.

Students will be assessed on the following course assignments:
