A sacrament is a sacred rite that has particular significance for a church or a body of believers. This course presents an overview of the nine sacraments of Church Universal and Triumphant: Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Marriage, Holy Orders, Alchemical Marriage, and Baptism with the Holy Ghost and with Fire. Students will learn about the historical origin of the sacraments as referenced in the Bible. They will gain insight into Church Universal and Triumphant’s sacraments as initiations on the spiritual path, find out how they fit into the Church’s theology, and be taught how ministers prepare for and conduct them.

Included in MINS 2780 is an overview of the Holy Orders of The Summit Lighthouse and Church Universal and Triumphant. Students will discover how membership in a Holy Order sponsored by an ascended master is an important practical avenue of service to help hold the balance for oneself, one’s community and the planet.

Hours per week: Students should plan to set aside 5-6 hours per week to complete their weekly course work. There are eight units in this course. Students are expected to complete one unit per week.
